absolutely horrified by my stay! The bedspread was as stained as my disappointment, and the towels? Placed on that disgusting bedspread, gross! I woudl ve liked some complimentary chocolates or upgrade for my troubles, but nope, just more ickiness. I've stayed in 7.8-rated rooms that were like palaces compared to this dump. Just couldn’t with the 8.7 rating nonsense.

Noise issues from the street made sleeping challenging!!! Inconsistent hot water supply during peak hours is a definite inconvenience!!! Be prepared to navigate stairs with heavy luggage, as there's no elevator available!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Residence Stendhal Guest House. The location was remarkably close to the train station and the cruise port, making travel quite convenient. Additionally, the host was exceptionally welcoming, even assisting with my luggage.
Stairs can be challenging with luggage.

residence stendhal guest house was perfectly located near the train station and beach. the large deluxe room had great storage and a lovely combination of traditional terrazzo flooring and a modern ensuite. simone, the host, was very helpful and carried my heavy suitcase for me, which made the check-in process much smoother.

The owner and staff were incredibly helpful, offering great local recommendations. My room was clean, elegantly decorated, and featured high ceilings that added charm. The location is optimal, close to the beach and surrounded by numerous restaurants and shops, making it easy to explore the area.
However, the noise from the street outside made it challenging to get a good night's sleep.
